One-Year Certificate Program
This one-year certificate program is designed for students who are interested in the justice, legal, or law enforcement fields. The program prepares students for success in a variety of programs including Police Foundations, Community and Justice Services, and Law Clerk. Students explore their interests, aptitudes and skills, assess career choices, experience college delivery of course material, and generally prepare for further postsecondary studies.
Graduates of this one-year program are eligible to receive an Ontario College Certificate. Graduates can apply to another program at the College or continue their studies in Year II of the General Arts and Science Ontario College Diploma program. Some credits may be considered as transfer credits towards other college programs.
Two-Year Diploma Program
The two-year diploma program begins in September (for graduates of the one-year certificate program) and in January. Year II provides a well-balanced selection of courses in the social sciences and humanities. On successful completion of Year II, students receive an Ontario College Diploma.
Graduates of the diploma program may be eligible to transfer some credits towards a university degree.
