One-Year Certificate Program

This one-year certificate program is intended for students who are interested in exploring a career in design through the preparation of a competitive portfolio. Students develop their creative design and drawing skills which allows them to pursue more advanced studies in related programs including Graphic Design, Interior Decorating, Bachelor of Applied Arts (BAA) - Interior Design, Print Media, Advertising, and Architectural Technician/Technology.

Graduates of this one-year program are eligible to receive an Ontario College Certificate. Graduates can apply to another program at the College or continue their studies in Year II of the General Arts and Science Ontario College Diploma program. Some credits may be considered as transfer credits towards other college programs.

Two-Year Diploma Program

The two-year diploma program begins in September (for graduates of the one-year certificate program) and in January. Year II provides a well-balanced selection of courses in the social sciences and humanities. On successful completion of Year II, students receive an Ontario College Diploma.

Graduates of the diploma program may be eligible to transfer some credits towards a university degree.
