COLLEGE CERTIFICATE

Program #0921X02PWO

Teacher of Adults: Literacy Educator

If you are currently working in the field of adult literacy and want to enhance your skills or are looking for a new career, enrol in this certificate program. Geared towards tutors, instructors, and certified teachers who are currently working in literacy programs, the curriculum consists of seven independent study courses, each with its own learning module.

The specially designed modules introduce participants to course concepts through a series of interactive activities which participants select according to their own needs and interests. Weekly learning circles, facilitated by faculty members, provide participants with the opportunity to discuss issues and to share their expertise and experiences.

To qualify for this certificate, you must complete the program within four years.

Transfer of Academic Credit (Exemption)
If you possess qualifications beyond the entry level of your program (such as successful completion of another college, university or professional association course) you may be eligible for a Transfer of Academic Credit (or exemption) from an individual course.
