College eligibility :

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) at or above the General Level, or equivalent. Applicants with an OSSD showing senior English and/or Mathematics courses at the Basic Level, Workplace or Open courses, will be tested to determine their eligibility for admission


  • OR

  • Mature Student status (19 years of age or over and without a high school diploma; eligibility may be determined by academic achievement testing for which a fee of $30.00 will be charged).




  • Program eligibility:
  • All applicants are required to undergo an English test, for which a fee of $30.00 will be charged


  • Provide proof of good health as evidenced by a completed Algonquin College Medical and Immunization form.


  • Note: Agencies that allow the College access for clinical/field placements require students registered in this program to have a clear police record check. To be eligible to participate in clinical/field placements, you must submit proof of a clear police records check to the Program Department prior to the beginning of classes. If you have been convicted of an offense under the criminal code for which you have not been pardoned, you will be unable to participate in clinical/field placements. Successful completion of a clinical/field placement is a requirement for graduation. If you register in the program and have a criminal record for which you have not received a pardon, you must meet with the Departmental Chair prior to the first day of classes. It is your responsibility to obtain this police records check from your local Police Department and to pay for any associated costs.
