College eligibility
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent. Applicants
with an OSSD showing senior English and/or Mathematics courses at
the Basic Level, Workplace or Open courses, will be tested to determine
their eligibility for admission;
OR
Mature Student status (19 years of age or over and without a
high school diploma) eligibility may be determined by academic achievement
testing for which a fee of $30.00 will be charged.
Program eligibility
2004-2005
- English,
Grade 12 (ENG4C or equivalent, is required).
- Successfully
complete an English test for which a fee of $30.00
will be charged.
- Proof of
Standard First Aid Certification (St. John Ambulance Standard,
Red Cross or equivalent) must be shown prior to entering the program
and must be valid upon graduation.
Note: Agencies
that allow the College access for clinical/field placements may
require students in this program to have a clear police record check.
To be eligible to participate in clinical/field placements, you
must submit proof of clear police records check to the Program Department
prior to the beginning of classes.
If you have been convicted of an offense under the criminal code
for which you have not been pardoned, you may be unable to participate
in clinical/field placements. Successful completion of a clinical/field
placement is a requirement for graduation.
If you register in the program and have a criminal record for which
you have not received a pardon, you must meet with the Departmental
Chair prior to the first day of classes.
It is your responsibility to obtain this police records check from
your local Police Department and to pay for any associated costs.
