This (48 week), diploma program is
designed to prepare students for careers in the security and alarms
systems industry. Studies include security concepts, security surveys,
customer relations, electrical and electronic fundamentals, measuring
and testing devices and computer applications. Students acquire
competence in designing, installing, servicing and troubleshooting
security and alarm systems such as; intrusion detection systems,
access control systems, wireless systems and closed-circuit TV systems.
During the third term, classroom learning is enhanced by a fifteen-week
field placement in the industry.
