ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATION

 


This program provides the necessary training to qualify a graduate as an entry level Oracle Database Administrator. Using official Oracle University courseware and curriculum, this part-time program is designed to follow the Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) track and prepares students to write their OCP DBA exams. Students will gain knowledge in relational database design and acquire the ability to effectively write SQL statements to query and upgrade an Oracle database, manage database files and users and plan and implement a database backup and recovery strategy. All classes are comprised of lectures and hands-on practise in our state-of-the-art Oracle lab.

This program offers you:

  • Oracle-certified educational curriculum and courseware,
  • Hands-on Oracle experience using Oracle software,
  • Discount vouchers for Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) exams

In order to earn an Algonquin College certificate, students must successfully complete all five courses outlined in the program of study for the Database Administration

Transfer of Academic Credit (Exemption)


If you possess qualifications beyond the entry level of your program (such as successful completion of another college, university or professional association course), you may be eligible for a Transfer of Credit (or exemption) from an individual course.
