It develops and administers educational programs, the core of which are three correspondence courses. "The Canadian Securities Course" (CSC); the "Canadian Investment Manager Program" (CIM) and the "Financial Management Advisor Program" (FMA).
These courses lead qualified securities industry personnel to the CIM designation (Certified Investment Manager); FMA designation (Financial Management Advisor) and the FCSI (Fellow of the Canadian Securities Course) designation.
Students must register for the Canadian Securities Institute Seminar Series through:
The Canadian Securities Institute

The School of Business will conduct Seminars for Canadian Securities Course students. These classes provide an effective forum for discussing text materials, assignments and basic investment principles.
The seminars consist of twelve, two-hour sessions for a total of 24 hours. The seminars are run:
Fall: late September to December two (2) times a year; classes are held every week.
Winter: early January to April; classes are held every week.
