Admission Requirements
Students are required to
provide proof of successful completion of an approved certificate
program in the health or social service field. Applicants working
with dementia clients in other capacities, such as volunteers, family
caregivers, etc., will be considered on an individual basis. All
applicants must complete an application form and forward to:

Applications will be acknowledged when received, but review
and determination of Admission Status will be done only on a quarterly
basis: August, November, February, May. Students may however enroll
in program courses if the stated course prerequisites are met.
Prior to clinical experience, students are required to complete
an Algonquin College Health Assessment Form and/or an Immunization
Form. A Police Record Check must be completed and on file prior
to the first clinical experience.
