MAT0001 - ACE Apprenticeship Math
Course Description:
ACE Apprenticeship mathematics is designed for students preparing for various college apprenticeship programs and/or workplace who have completed ACE Core Mathematics and wish to consolidate their basic mathematical skills and improve their problem-solving techniques. Units of study include number sense and algebra; measurement and geometry; proportional reasoning; analytic geometry; relations and functions; trigonometric functions; statistics and probability; and personal finance.
Additional Information:
Prerequisite: Assessment or documentation demonstrating an appropriate level of mathematics proficiency for entry into ACE Apprenticeship Mathematics.

To help you succeed, we have developed an Assessment and Orientation course called Learn to Learn. All ACE Distance students must complete the Learn to Learn course BEFORE enrolling in an ACE Distance course.

This 20 hour course will help you make sure you have the necessary personal, computer and academic skills to successfully participate in ACE Distance courses. There is also material that will teach you how to be an effective on line learner. You can proceed through the material at your own pace.

The Learn to Learn course is intended to help you determine if on line learning is the right choice for you. It is a process to get you started as quickly as possible taking the right courses. To be sure you’re ready, register for the Learn to Learn course today.

"LEARN TO LEARN” REGISTRATION PROCESS

1. Students can start any day for the first three weeks of each month.
2. Students should email Marla White letting her know you’re ready to start the Learn to Learn course ( marlawhite75@gmail.com)
3. Marla will send you a return email with the necessary log in information.
4. You will be able to start the course within 48 hours.

WHO MUST TAKE THE LEARN TO LEARN COURSE

1. All students who are registering for an ACE Distance course for the first time must take the Learn to Learn course.
2. All students who have enrolled in an ACE Distance course during the past eight months who have withdrawn or were not been successful must take the Learn to Learn course.
3. All students who have enrolled in an ACE Distance course during the past eight months who have either completed a course or are making good progress in the course they are currently enrolled in do not need to take the Learn to Learn course as a prerequisite for enrolling in another course.
