| Course Description: |
In this course, students learn the fundamentals of relational database systems and the SQL programming language. This course teaches participants how to design relational databases starting from a conceptual data model and following accepted logical and physical design principles. Participants will practice designing a database, and extracting information from a database using SQL. Topics covered include Relational databases, normalization, referential integrity, SQL DDL and SQL DML.

Prerequisites: Working knowledge of DOS, running program from the command line, copy-deleting files, ability to use the DOS prompt, ability to download, install and configure free software from the internet, working knowledge of Windows Control Panel, Administrative Tools.
