Students will acquire a fundamental understanding of internetworking concepts and a general knowledge of IP protocols. Topics include internetworking fundamentals, layer 2 LAN and WAN technologies including Ethernet and Token Ring, the basics of TCP/IP protocols, application services and IP routing protocols. Students who complete this course will have a good understanding of layer 2 and layer 3 networking technologies.
