Generational diversity is increasingly a human resource challenge in the workplace. In this course, learners examine the factors that can contribute to conflict in generationally diverse work teams. Learners explore the concept of generational diversity and the characteristics of the four cohorts. Learners appreciate how these differences impact communication in such key areas as feedback, mentoring, performance and employee retention. Through case-studies, critical incidents based on work place situations and online discussions, learners create, share and apply strategies for working with generational cohorts in conflicts that reflect the needs and differences of each group. |
