ACADEMIC ASSISTANCE FOR ADULTS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES(AAADD)
AAADD offers various courses to adults with a developmental/intellectual disability with an overall goal of building academic and social skills within a College environment. AAADD runs 41 weeks of the year, from the end of August through to the end of June. Courses are offered day and evening.
Day Courses: Literacy, Numeracy and Optional Subjects (current events, life skills, job search and computers)
Evening Courses: Literacy, Numeracy and also Computers.
Courses are funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and students whose only source of income is ODSP often qualify for the Ontario Special Bursary.
Attendance at an information session and an academic assessment are required for admission.
