Salary Range: Payband E - $23.55-$27.30 per hour ($44,562 to $51,658 per annum based on a 36.25 hour work week). The College also offers a comprehensive range of fringe benefits.

Job Description  
Working closely with the Print Shop Assistant Manager and the Production Coordinator, the incumbent will fulfill the role as the Algonquin College Print Shop’s representative for digital and print publishing of Algonquin College’s course material, copyright research, product development, business development, and social media monitoring. The incumbent acts as a backup for the Print Shop Production Clerk and Digital Store Front web portal administrator.

Required Qualifications  
  • Five years Customer Service experience in a Digital Print/Publishing
    environment.
  • Two years of professional experience utilizing social media in a
    business to consumer context.
  • Two year Print Media Course or equivalent
    combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with PC and Mac
    platforms.
  • Proficient in creating and editing documents for digital print
    production.
  • Proficient in the use of professional publishing software such as
    Adobe CC, Adobe Acrobat as well as MS Office.
  • Experience with formatting
    documents for use on mobile devices
  • Experience working with web to print
    storefront applications.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Copyright laws for
    both digital and print publishing
  • Familiarity with digital printing methods,
    processes and binding styles
  • Experience liaising between production staff
    and clients to ensure deadlines and delivery are realized.
  • Experience working
    within a post-secondary institution is an asset.
