Salary Range: Payband F - $25.41-$29.46 per hour ($48,082 to $55,746 per annum based on a 36.25 hour work week). The College also offers a comprehensive range of fringe benefits.

Job Description  
Reporting to the Supervisor, Academic Operations & Planning the incumbent is responsible for the preparation, analysis and interpretation of finance information related to Applied Research and Innovation, Community Partnerships & Engagement, Associate VP Academic and the Academic Schools. The incumbent is responsible for implementing appropriate finance controls and processes consistent with College policies and ensures that reporting standards meet stakeholder requirements and expectations. This position is essential in ensuring the accuracy, completeness and reliability of financial information to assist senior administrators in decision making.

Required Qualifications  
  • Minimum of a three (3) year diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or equivalent education;
  • Minimum of three (3) years related experience in a finance position where accounting skills were utilized on a regular basis;
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills are required;
  • Practical experience in a budgetary capacity in a large organization;
  • Experience with College processes regarding enrolment projections, financial year end, annual budget process, quarterly reviews and program costing;
  • Experience with People Soft, Genesis, HRIS, BUS an asset or equivalent post-secondary systems;
  • Experience with contract activity (budgeting, reporting, RFP’s, etc);
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment;
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills;
  • Demonstrated experience in working with deadlines and multi-tasking;
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new software;
  • An accounting designation will be considered an asset.
