Job Description  

The BAA-Interior Design program is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual with a passion for design. This is a part time position teaching professional practice to third year students in the Interior Design program. The instructor will be responsible for explaining professional associations, professional accreditation, maintaining professional status, professional ethics, business management, and career goal planning. The instructor will also teach how to prepare a portfolio and conduct interviews for summer co-op placement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of course materials, assignments, and evaluation. While specified as an in-class course, it could also be delivered as a hybrid or on-line course.

The successful candidate will posses an interior design or architectural education and work experience related to the built environment. The course will begin January 2015 and end April 2015. The successful applicant must be available to teach any time between 8am to 10pm.


Required Qualifications  
  • Master’s degree in Interior Design; Doctoral degree (PhD) in related disciplines may be considered;
  • Minimum of two (2) years of industry experience in Interior Design;
  • Professional licensure (NCIDQ) is considered an asset;
  • ARIDO membership required;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of design practice management;
  • LEED certification or proven knowledge of sustainability is considered an asset.
