Job Description  
Reporting to the Assistant General Manager of Food Services, the incumbent responds to a wide variety of needs on behalf of external clients looking to book conference space at Algonquin College. The incumbent will act as a sales and resource person during the planning and execution of external events. The incumbent will perform some financial support services and will maintain contact with College stakeholders to ensure clear communication of conference/external event activity.
In conjunction with Food Services management and Ancillary Marketing, the incumbent will assist in the planning, and be directly responsible for the implementation of an annual promotions calendar for Food Services. The incumbent will be expected to develop and record metrics on the success of promotional initiatives.
This incumbent will be required to ensure there is a professional and engaging delivery of promotional events so as to generate increased student engagement, identify trends and product mix preferences, and improve sales performance.

Required Qualifications  
• 3 year diploma/degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or Meetings and Convention Management/Events Management or equivalent;
• Minimum 3 years marketing experience ideally in a post-secondary setting or similar demographic environment;
• 1 year event management experience ideally in a post-secondary setting or catering sales experience;
• Experience working in team environments with a demonstrated ability to build strong; relationships/partnerships;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal;
• Highly motivated with strong planning and organizational skills; time management expertise;
• Project management experience;
• Exceptional attention to detail with a strong creative flair;
• Thorough knowledge of communication techniques;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
• Proficiency in Social Media as well as SM metrics;
• May be required to work weekends and/or evenings
