Salary Range: Payband G - $27.46-$31.83 per hour ($51,961 to $60,230 per annum based on a 36.25 hour work week). The College also offers a comprehensive range of fringe benefits.

Job Description  

Reporting to the Business Administrator, the incumbent will provide financial and administrative support to the programs, special projects and contract activities in the Faculty of Health, Public safety and Community Studies. The incumbent assists the Business Administrator with the coordination, development and finalization of the Faculty’s operational and capital budget, college year-end process and contract audits. The incumbent will be tasked with preparing financial and operational reports in the various activities of the Faculty to meet the information needs of the Business Administrator.

This position also provides administrative support to the Dean’s office and is privy to confidential information.


Required Qualifications  
  • A minimum of a three (3) year diploma or degree in Business Administration or Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible business/budgetary administration experience, preferably at a post- secondary institution.
  • Demonstrated experience in completing budget and year-end process.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new software.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office and Adobe. Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in working to deadlines and multitask.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with college employees of all levels and outside clients.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with Financial/Human Resources/Payroll and Student Management Corporate Systems.
  • Experience with Peoplesoft, Genesis, Enrolment Management System and BUS an asset.
