Salary Range: Payband J - $34.82-$40.37 per hour ($63,616 to $73,755 per annum based on a 35 hour work week). The College also offers a comprehensive range of fringe benefits.

Job Description  

The Health Services Nurse provides on-campus health care and health education to students, staff and faculty at the Pembroke Campus. The incumbent provides nursing services in cases of non-emergency, emergency, episodic illness, health counselling and occupational health issues. The incumbent also supports a family physician that practices at the campus one to two days per week.

The incumbent facilitates the physicians’ clinics, maintains confidential health records, and maintains the organizational and supply needs of the medical office.

Required Qualifications  
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent (Eg. Graduate of a three (3) year Nursing Diploma program at a recognized community college)
  • Current registration with College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Minimum five (5) years’ nursing experience working in public health, family practice or a post-secondary learning environment
  • Certified in CPR, AED training and TB screening training
  • Excellent computer skills-Proficient in email, word processing, website navigation, etc.
  • Class G Driver’s license
  • Superior communication skills, including the ability to make health promotion presentations to students
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
