Salary Range: Payband K - $36.97-$42.86 per hour ($69,956 to $81,102 per annum based on a 36.25 hour work week). The College also offers a comprehensive range of fringe benefits.

Job Description  

A Voice Services Administrator reports to the Manager of the Infrastructure Services Team. The technician is responsible for a wide range of activities related to a stable and efficient operation of the College’s Information Technology infrastructure and data network.

This position is primarily responsible for the ongoing operations, expansion, maintenance and support of the College’s voice systems and services.

Required Qualifications  
  • A minimum of three (3) years Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent;
  • Must have attained CISCO Certified Network Associate CCNA or equivalent. Prefer Cisco Certified Voice Professional CCVP or Cisco Certified Networking Professional CCNP or equivalent;
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a heterogeneous PC environment with significant exposure to TCPIP Networking including Cisco IOS and Cisco networking products and data communications, including voice systems;
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience supporting voice systems and a demonstrated knowledge of the Cisco Voice over IP AVVID equipment and system architecture, including the Call Manager and related systems such as Unity Voice mail system, IP-CC Express, Cisco Emergency Responder, or Cisco Conference Bridge;
  • Experience in telecommunications related equipment and services;
  • An understanding of voice (analogue, ISDN,PRI) and audio standards (G.711 , G.729) is required;
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of supporting and administering Microsoft Windows or Unix servers in a large complex environment.
