Job Description  

Under the direction of the Chair, Media Studies, the Part-time Professor is responsible for facilitating and guiding learning and providing an effective learning environment for all students. The professional responsibilities include the teaching of a level one course in Psychology in Society within the Music Industry Arts program (Two sections - three-hour hybrid classes for 15 weeks)

  • providing a learning environment which makes effective use of available resources including educational technologies and the College approved Learning Management System
  • evaluating student progress/achievement and assuming responsibility for the overall assessment of the student’s work within assigned courses
  • the development and creation of a learning environment that is conducive to success for all students

Required Qualifications  
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related discipline
  • Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience at the college level, would be considered an asset
  • Highly effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of student success strategies in a postsecondary setting
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of educational technologies; experience in the development and delivery of hybrid and online curriculum, would be considered an asset
  • Highly effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills
