Job Description  

The Manager, Enterprise Business Solution is responsible for the suite of College Enterprise Business Solutions which includes the Student Information System (GeneSIS, the Human Resources and Payroll applications; the corporate Peoplesoft Financial application (General ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Purchasing. The responsibilities include the development, maintenance, training and on-going support for those business critical applications.

The Manager works with the Directors of Student Services, Marketing, Public Relations, Finance, Human Resources, Learning and Teaching Services, Academic Deans, the Students Association and the Registrar to develop and support the Information systems required to meet the College’s Information Management vision and strategy.

The Manager Works with College Deans, Directors, Chairs, Managers and others to manage the application portfolios for each Enterprise application to ensure that the development and support activities are aligned with the College’s and the clients business and strategic objectives.

The Manager also works in conjunction with the ITS management team, ensures that policies, procedures, processes and client service delivery is consistent and seamless across teams for ITS service delivery. This position also manages the Enterprise Business Solutions team including contract staff in developing, maintaining and supporting the Colleges business critical applications.


Required Qualifications  
  • A three or four year Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business or Computer Science with experience in IT or Business leadership or a relevant combination of education and experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or MBA preferred
  • A minimum of 9 years’ experience is required in the following areas:
    • IT or Business leadership position overseeing teams that support enterprise business systems, preferably commercial enterprise systems environment
    • Working with Enterprise Information Management Systems (Human Resources and Payroll System, Finance System, Budgeting System, Student Information System, in particular PeopleSoft, SAP, Banner and Salesforce.com
    • Managing business analysis and development, including financial analysis, management and development of Management Information Systems, with preference for experience in providing integrated information support to medium sized corporation executives and users
  • Experience in Post-Secondary Education preferred
  • Experience in managing staff, operations and capital budgets in excess of $2M annually
  • Ability to work effectively with upper management, peers and front-line staff
  • Ability to provide presentations to senior executives about technical service delivery strategies, issues and options
