Job Description  

Working as a member of the Curriculum Implementation Services team, the incumbent supports curriculum and faculty professional development across the College. The incumbent promotes the planning, design, implementation, and assessment of curriculum at the program, course and lesson level.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Engaging faculty and academic staff in best-practices for the design, development, and delivery of courses (in-class, hybrid, and online instruction modes)
  • Consulting, coaching and providing guidance to academic staff in relation to a range of teaching-learning and curriculum issues including adapting curriculum for mobile learning environments
  • Planning, designing, delivering and assessing the effectiveness of faculty development workshops
  • Recommending, selecting and/or developing online tools and resource materials to support curriculum and teaching practice
  • Contributing to provincial and regional projects/activities related to teaching and learning
  • Contributing curriculum and teaching-learning expertise to academic staff

Required Qualifications  
  • University degree; degree in Education preferred, graduate degree preferred;
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, or equivalent, preferably in a college setting;
  • Recognized ability and experience in the application of curriculum theory and practice with demonstrated skill working with curriculum in a variety of delivery modes (in-class, hybrid, online);
  • Recognized ability and experience in the application of current learning theory and practice and the use of a wide range of teaching-learning strategies;
  • Experience in the direct coaching, guiding and support of faculty in the design, development and delivery of hybrid and online courses;
  • Excellent knowledge of and experience with a variety of course assessment techniques;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in program and course curriculum development;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of and integration of educational technologies;
  • Ability to participate in consultative decision-making processes;
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
