Job Description  

Working as a member of the Centre for Organizational (COL) team, the incumbent supports faculty professional learning and development for full- and part-time faculty across the College, in collaboration with College support services and external partners The incumbent supports current College strategic directions and models the College’s Core Values and faculty Professor of the 21st Century competencies in engaging faculty throughout their professional practice.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Designing, implementing, coordinating, delivering , and evaluating orientation programs for full- and part-time faculty
  • Collaborating with College services to coordinate, design, implement, deliver and evaluate professional development (PD) programs that are active, continuous, connected and collaborative throughout the academic year
  • Liaising with College services to provide faculty with customized, just-in-time support during the academic year
  • Collaborating with College services and external partners to support faculty in activities related to academic development
  • Being a resource to faculty for relevant research in learning and teaching in higher education.

Required Qualifications  
  • Minimum of a Graduate degree (M.Ed. or other educational degree preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching at the college level
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the application of current learning and teaching theory and practice, in alignment with the Professor of the 21st Century Framework ( )
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the College’s current strategic direction in learning and teaching
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of a wide range of teaching/learning strategies
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of educational technologies as a tool for learning and knowledge management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of student success strategies in a postsecondary setting
  • Highly effective communication, facilitation, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
