Salary Range: Payband F - $24.91-$28.88 per hour ($47,136 to $54,648 per annum based on a 36.25 hour work week). The College also offers a comprehensive range of fringe benefits.

Job Description  

The incumbent is accountable for monitoring student accounts receivable and trade receivables. He/she is responsible for the reconciliation of overdue accounts, organizing a recovery system and initiating collection efforts. In addition, the incumbent will assist in establishing collection procedures and recommending modifications to the current work methods. He/she is also called upon to resolve numerous queries from students, College Departments/Staff and outside agencies.


Required Qualifications  
  • Minimum of a 2 year Community College Certificate/diploma in business, bookkeeping or accounting (or equivalent education)
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive work experience in accounts receivable and collections in an accounting or finance department
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures in a computerized accounting office environment
  • Must possess excellent communication skills to deal effectively with internal and external clients
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications
  • Experience in the development of policies and procedures
  • Good problem-solving skills
