Job Description  

Provides a wide variety of efficient and confidential administrative support and secretarial services to the President. Works as a team with staff in the Board of Governors office and strive to keep each other informed of initiatives underway. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.

A working knowledge of personal computers utilizing a range of fully-programmable software to produce reports, correspondence and other documents.

Required Qualifications  
  • Two (2) year Post-Secondary Diploma, in Office Administration (Executive Assistant); or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five (5) years related progressive experience as an executive assistant
  • High level of initiative, tact, diplomacy and discretion to act on general and sensitive issues on behalf of the President
  • Mature, knowledgeable, articulate individual who has demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good knowledge of College programs, academic, administrative and organizational structures including the College decision-making process
  • Ability to work professionally with highly confidential information, while demonstrating a balance of compassion and good judgment
  • Well-developed planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy office with frequent and unpredictable interruptions, changing priorities and short deadlines
  • Strong computer skills; keyboarding ability and experience (intermediate level) with Windows, MS Office Suite applications, SharePoint, email/calendar software applications
  • Demonstrated knowledge internal College information systems (e.g. Genesis, PeopleSoft, ACIS), new software applications and manage a database
  • Good knowledge of budget preparation, financial/administrative data processing systems
